Scientific name: Moose Moose
Distribution: Moose still live in freedom in vast territories of Northern Europe, Russia and China, also in the North and North Central of the United States, Canada and Alaska.
As a general rule, elk are solitary and territorial animals.
State conservation: It is not covered by any special conservation status, because its number is abundant and have grown in recent years.
Gestation and sexual maturity: Elk females reach sexual maturity by the age of two. The gestation time lasts about 245/250 days, when it is born as a rule only one baby with a weight that varies between 10/15 kg.
Size: Adult elk can grow up to about 3 meters and weigh more than 600 kg.
Longevity: Moose can live to the age of 20, although in captivity there are animals that have lived 22 years.
