The Arabian or Arab horse
The Arabian horse originates in an area that covers the entire Middle East and North Africa, not sure how it evolved. It is thought to have been discovered in the early centuries of the Christian Era by the warring tribes of this area of the globe.
What is known for certain paintings found in the Middle East is that it was already mounted about 1500 years BC, so it will be the oldest breed of domesticated horses known as such.
They were basically war horses, swift, agile, robust, and courageous, having been the horse of choice for Napoleon Bonaparte.
Its versatility means that this breed is used in various tasks, even because it is widespread in the world, very well adapted to all weather conditions.
The fact that, for many centuries, it developed in deserts, where the thermal amplitude is very great, gave them these unique characteristics.
It is an excellent horse for long races, due to its great endurance, almost inexhaustible, and has the unique ability to maintain a constant speed.
Courageous, quiet and daring, these characteristics make him a good jumping horse, and an excellent saddle and ride horse, being especially indicated in the teaching of future knights.
As an adult, it can reach 400 kg and be about 1.55 m high.
The most common colors are: the sorrel, the brown and black.
